Students enjoyed the companionship of friends, dinner and dancing at the Sussex Academy junior-senior prom, held at the Cambria Hotel May 2.

Students crowned Katya Geyer Prom Queen and Rocco Buonopane Prom King, and Elizabeth Merrick and Ben Steimel were named to the Prom Court.

Class officers worked hard to raise funds for this year’s prom, and the generous donations of several businesses toward the venue, decorations and music made the evening unforgettable, including Jay Diaz of Print Coast2Coast, Styled., Rocket Fizz as well as many families who contributed.

The evening was an enjoyable success for everyone, said Dean of High School Lauren Hvorecny.

“We would like to thank our families, community members and the staff at the Cambria Hotel for helping create this memorable experience for our students,” Hvorecny said.
