Sussex Academy Middle School is a public charter school serving students in grades 6 through 8. We offer a supportive, academically rigorous environment that prepares students for future success through an accelerated, college preparatory curriculum.

Our mission is to foster academic excellence, leadership, character development and global awareness in a small school setting. Students are challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively and grow as confident leaders—ready to navigate the complexities of the 21st century. We emphasize ethical conduct, responsibility and service to others, empowering students to lead both in and out of the classroom.

In addition to core academic subjects, students benefit from a wide variety of enrichment opportunities including environmental science, visual and performing arts, competitive athletics and student-led clubs. Leadership development is embedded throughout the student experience, giving learners the tools to take initiative, work collaboratively and make a positive impact on their school and community.
