Sussex Academy High School is a public charter school serving students in grades 9 through 12. We offer a supportive, academically rigorous environment that prepares students for college and career success through an accelerated college preparatory curriculum.

Our mission is to foster academic excellence, leadership, character development and global awareness in a close-knit school community. Students are challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively and grow as confident leaders—ready to navigate the complexities of the 21st century. We emphasize ethical conduct, responsibility and service to others, empowering students to lead both inside and outside the classroom.

Students have access to a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual enrollment opportunities with local colleges. These programs allow students to earn college credits while still in high school, giving them a head start on their higher education journey and enhancing their readiness for college-level work.

Beyond core academics, students engage in enrichment opportunities such as environmental science, visual and performing arts, competitive athletics and student-led clubs.
