Sussex Academy Strategic Plan
In February 2026, Sussex Academy partnered with the University of Delaware School Leadership team to launch a comprehensive and collaborative strategic planning process designed to guide our future. Through surveys, focus groups, and an in-depth review of data, we identified key opportunities for growth across academics, student services, and business operations.
Students, teachers, parents, school administrators, and members of the Board of Directors then formed a Core Committee to lead the work. Over several months, the committee developed clear priorities and actionable steps aligned to our long-term objectives. This inclusive approach ensured that diverse perspectives shaped a focused and forward-thinking path.
The resulting Strategic Plan will serve as a roadmap for the years ahead as we strive to realize our vision of becoming the premier K–12 school system in the state of Delaware by fostering a supportive school environment grounded in accelerated learning opportunities for all students.
