Soaring Higher Campaign
State funding is dispersed differently to public charter schools than to traditional public schools, causing charter schools to rely on community donations to fund capital improvements and facility needs.
Your donation is a vital investment in the future of our students, our educational system and our community as a whole. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are grateful for financial support at any level and welcome donations in any amount to our capital campaign.
As an additional opportunity for our families and community partners, we are excited to launch our “Soaring Higher” fundraising campaign this year. Each of the donation tiers below provides essential support to enhance academic programs, upgrade facilities and fund capital projects.

Explore
$500
As an Explore level supporter, you have the option to support one or more of the following areas of your choice:
• Classroom sponsorship
• Student AP exam fees
Your donation will be divided equally between a classroom teacher or student AP exam fees and the Sussex Academy capital expenditures account.
RECOGNITION
• Classroom Sponsorship sign outside the classroom that receives the donation
OR
• Personal or business name listed on AP Scholarship Banner hung in cafetorium
AND
• Personal or business name listed as an Official Explore Level Supporter of Sussex Academy on our website during the 2025-26 school year
Experience
$501–$9,999
As an Experience level supporter, you have the option to support specific campus upgrades or donate to the general capital expenditures account.
• Secondary Campus Upgrades
• Athletic benches, netting, scoreboards
• Aquatics Center public address system
• Gymnasium bleachers, and public address system
• Stage lift/equipment
• Sussex Academy vans
• Science and STEM laboratories
• Elementary Campus Upgrades
• Playground equipment
• Covered walkway between buildings
• Pavilion
• Stage equipment
Your donation of $501–$9,999 will be directly deposited into our capital expenditures account earmarked for facility upgrades on the campus of your choice.
RECOGNITION
• One advertisement as a Community Partner through the Head of School Update
• One advertisement as a Community Partner through Sussex Academy social media accounts
• Personal or business name listed as an Official Experience Level Supporter of Sussex Academy on our website during the 2025-26 school year
• Two season tickets to all Sussex Academy home athletic games and theater productions
Excel
$10,000+
As an Excel level supporter, you are supporting the capital expenditures for current and future needs for:
• Athletic Facility Improvements
$10,000 will be directly deposited in our long-term capital project account earmarked for athletic field / facility upkeep.
RECOGNITION
• Advertisement on athletic facilities banners throughout the 2025-26 school year
• Advertisement as a Community Partner through the Head of School Updates
• Advertisement as a Community Partner through Sussex Academy social media accounts
• Advertisement on cafetorium projector and screen before/after school events throughout the year
• Personal or business name listed as an Official Excel Level Supporter of Sussex Academy on our website during the 2025-26 school year
• Two season tickets to all Sussex Academy home athletic games and theater productions
• Two tickets to all Sussex Academy Community events
