Sussex Academy Elementary students participated in a number of hands-on activities at the annual science and math night April 30th.

Field experts from MERR and DNREC brought displays and artifacts students were invited to hold and explore, and members of Sussex Academy’s Computer Science Honor Society designed robots specifically for younger students to operate.

Elementary and high school teachers hosted science and math-related activities, including creating UV bracelets, and games such as fact fluency bingo, roll & race and Crazy 8’s math fun.

Students also displayed entries they created for the Upcycled Art Contest under this year’s theme of “Animals that Fly.”
