Sports Booster Club

Last week - we talked about the heavy lifting in Sports Boosters, and how we need help from all of the parents who have kids participating in high school sports. That hasn't changed! Still need the help. Tick tock.

But it's time to hand out some Kudos for this Fall so far!   It's not an exhaustive list, but it's a good start!

  • Mums Maven - Lori Alvarez - for making sure all of the orders were logged, vouchers printed and distributed. Priceless help.
  • Horsey Heroes - Lisa Kwan, Suzayn Mooney, Elizabeth Curry, Leigh Ann Burke - getting people to turn their unsold tickets in is not a glamorous job (let alone getting people to sell them!) Plus, props to Jason Moshier, Stacie Loftus and Kristy Anthony for spending the better part of a Saturday afternoon at the OC Inlet selling tickets to meet our volunteer requirements for the year.
  • Sports Program Superstar - Steve Bastianelli - he takes all the pictures. ALL OF THEM! This is in addition to his day job! BOOM!
  • Concessions Champions - shout out to Lisa Kwan, Suzayn Mooney, Leigh Ann Burke again - along with Lori Ewing - who have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND their roles to make sure concessions is bringing in the cash for the kids in Field Hockey, Soccer and Volleyball. And a really big round of applause if you worked more than a couple of the shifts or donated food items. We need more of that. From everyone.

TA DA! Fall Sports Programs have arrived. And they look awesome. Want one? An Alexander Hamilton will get you your very own copy. That's $10 for those who didn't understand that reference. Pick them up at the concessions stands, Mr. Bastianelli's office, year-end banquets or whenever you see a Sports Boosters person walking around (just kidding, don't do that last one). They are great keepsakes and grandparents love them, just saying. Quantities are limited, so first come first serve!

Out of Gas. This update is due a day earlier than we thought, so that's all we got! Don't forget, the next meeting is October 24th at 6 p.m. in the weight room next to the gym.

We lied. One last thing. Go to the Homecoming games on the 19th!!!!! Peace.
