SA-Sports Campaign Case

Elementary School

Middle School

Grades 6-8:  Way to be Positive Wednesdays at SA-students are invited and encouraged to wear shirts or sweatshirts that have a positive saying or kind thought (ie. Be Kind, Life is Good, etc.).  Uniform bottoms are to be worn and outwear policies will still be in place.

Grades 6-8: Halloween Costume Day-Friday, October 29
Below are the guidelines administration has set to ensure everyone has a safe and fun day.  You may choose to dress in costume if you'd like, otherwise abide by regular dress down guidelines.

1.  No costume masks, no hoods or anything that covers your face.  Why?  Because we need to be able to recognize you immediately as someone permitted in the building (for safety reasons).

2.  No full-face make up (same reason as #1).

3.  No weapons of any kind, sharp objects or props are permitted.  Again, safety reasons.

4.  No inappropriate logos or sayings (this includes politics).

5.  Costumes must be culturally sensitive.

6.  No lingerie.

7. Normal dress down rules apply to all costumes:  no flip flops, no mesh or see-through clothing, and shorts and skirts must be an appropriate length.

If you are unsure about a potential costume option meeting requirements, please be sure your student speaks with an administrator prior to Friday for clarification.

Grades 6-8: Dress Down Days.  Students pay $2 to homeroom teacher to dress down on scheduled dates.  The funds raised benefit SA classes, organizations and special projects.
Dress Down Rules must be followed:

Students will be allowed to wear their ‘casual street clothes’ but must abide by all school set standards for this day.  No open toed shoes, tank tops, spaghetti straps, shortie shorts, cutoffs, holes in jeans, and inappropriate logos.  Yoga pants can be worn but student must wear a long shirt/tunic. Appropriate, tasteful dress and appearance must apply.
