Sussex Academy students celebrate Homecoming
Sussex Academy students celebrated Homecoming the week of Oct. 13-18, with a record number of students attending the culminating game and dance.
Throughout the week, students decorated hallways based on various themes and wore different costumes each day for Spirit Week activities.
On Oct. 15, students staged the traditional flag football game, with the senior girls taking on the junior girls in a flag football game.
Students also planned and hosted an Oct. 17 pep rally with games and activities to get hyped for the Homecoming soccer game that evening, which saw a student section comprising plenty of neon, hard hats in safety vests to match the “construction” theme.
The next evening, students traded in their neon for gowns and bowties for the “Midnight in Manhattan” themed Homecoming dance Oct. 18.
