Members of the Sussex Academy High School Green Team and FFA traveled to the elementary campus April 24 to host an array of Earth Day activities for younger students.

Students took advantage of the entire elementary campus for the event, with a scavenger hunt winding through the school forest and pond, and activities that included stations where students could create their own pine cone birdfeeders, make dessert dirt cups, get their faces painted and plant seeds to take home.

Students were joined by representatives from the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays with an educational display and opportunity to take a pledge to not release balloons during celebrations.
