Morning Power-Up Work Out (almost better than coffee!)
Monday/Wednesday @ 6:15 - 7:00 am
Get up and get going! This class will provide the perfect mix to start your day. It will add resistance in shallow and deep water to burn more calories and yet will remain easy on the joints. Enjoy fun movement to music and have a great cardio workout while emphasizing core training and flexibility. Appropriate for all levels of swimmers since flotation devices will be used in deep water.
Moderate Aqua Aerobics
Monday/Wednesday @ 7:30 - 8:30 am
Jump right into this moderate level aqua class set to music. Improve your fitness level while being kind to your joints. This class uses resistant tools such as buoyant water weights and noodles. This class is suitable for every age and fitness level.
Monday/Wednesday @ 9:00 - 10:00 am
This class consists of slow paced movements designed to lubricate arthritic joints in shallow water. You will improve your overall range of motion, gain better joint mobility, and see improved muscle strength. While this class is designed for arthritis, it is opened to those who have other physical limitations.
Monday @ 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Ready to find your zen? Aqua Yoga is meant to soothe your muscles and your mind. This class will start out on deck with a warm-up then ease into the pool for standing poses that are meant to increase your balance and flexibility. Like all forms of water exercise, Aqua Yoga is low-impact and designed to help you find relaxation in the water. You do not have to have any prior yoga experience to take this class. Mats will be provided for deck work, but you may also bring your own.
Tuesday/Thursday @ 6:30 - 7:30 am & Saturday @ 12:00 - 2:00 pm
Do you miss the days of swim team or want to develop your strokes? Join this group of swimmers as we follow practices written by experts from United States Masters Swim and develop friendships along the way. Being able to swim at least two lengths of the pool continuously is recommended to join Masters Swim, but we are willing to work with any skill level. Goggles are required, caps are recommended. Contact Kristen Johnson if you are interested in becoming a Masters Swimmer.
Friday @ 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Close out your work week with fun, upbeat cardio in the water. This class will get your heart pumping as you perform different movements against the resistance of the water. Any age and level is welcome as most movements can be modified to suit your need.
