General Information
The Sussex Academy is a public, charter school offering an accelerated academic program for the students of Delaware in grades six through nine. The academic program at the Sussex Academy is based on the principles of the Expeditionary Learning curriculum model, which enables the students to attain the State’s high academic standards as well as to develop personal responsibility, self-monitoring and reflection skills, and positive citizenship values. The Sussex Academy is also very proud of its talented and highly qualified staff that has developed and maintains a challenging curriculum in a supportive and caring environment for its students. As a result, the Sussex Academy has been recognized by the State of Delaware as a “Superior” school each year it has been rated.
